Are the Sox the only team that will be affected by bad weather or is this going to be a widespread thing?

God wouldn't do that to the Cubs, only those trailer trash rednecks from the South Side.

It's the same fucking weather Tuesday.

Wednesday says 51, Thursday 48. That's acceptable. I'm going Thursday too.

I think it may be slightly better Tuesday. The wind is probably going to be worse tomorrow.

If Tuesday has less wind, and just morning flurries, they probably did the right thing changing it now.

What's gay is it's been almost exactly the same every day for a while now, kind of chilly but usually sunny and mild. Totally doable outdoor drinking weather.

If you mean, "the Sox should have won the World Series to get the Sunday night game", then yes. Otherwise, no.

    See you clowns on Tuesday
It has been a great, roller coaster of a season for the Sox. Slow start, explosion and now possible riding off into the sunset. Lots of action and suspense!

    According to Reifert: Link

And of course now it is looking like it will not be snowing in any noticeable amount today.

eh, still pretty crappy out. tomorrow will be sunnier, warmer and essentially all the snow will have melted and dried up.

i actually applaud the sox this time around. they could have gone for the easy cash grab by letting people in the stadium for an hour and then calling the game. that would have jacked things a lot more. by calling it the night before, a lot of people can alter their plans without great difficulty. true, some people took monday off and can't switch to tuesday but on the whole, this appears to be the right decision. i doubt they would have played today.

I understand what they were thinking, but really, they've been in this city long enough to know that forecasts change quickly. The original plan to make the decision at 8AM would have given people time to change their plans if need be, yet still taken into account another 14-16 hours of weather info. I suppose they can say the field was simply not playable no matter what, but again, I've seen them play in some awful weather.

And yes, this day is awful, but no different than plenty of ugly April and Sept/Oct. days that they've played in.

I expect you will see at least 8,000-10,000 empty seats tomorrow.

It just seems like every time they call something that far in advance the weather never does what they apparently expected it to do.

A decision to cancel it at 8 AM today would have been a major pain in the ass. People will have already gotten up late for work and those driving from further locales would have already been on the road.

the sox have taken a lot of heat in the past for bringing people in and then cancelling games. i have no problem with the way they handled this one.
