That lot does suck. There's no trees for shade.
Lot C is the best for tailgates because there is plenty of grassy and treed areas w/o being near a place where a ton of people walk.

The move of Monday's game to a first pitch Tuesday at 1:05 p.m. CT actually avoids subjecting the fans, players, coaches, umpires and anyone else associated with the ballpark to harsh conditions in the forecast for the original opener. According to weather.com, a 60 percent chance for precipitation exists from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with 1-to-4 inches of snow expected in the Chicago area on Sunday night.
Temperatures were forecast in the mid-30s for Monday. But the high winds added to the equation turned the day into an unplayable wintry description slightly short of wonderland.

I could care less that they canceled, I have no problem switching days off at work but...
It does seem to me that the preemptive canceling of games is a fairly recent phenomenon though. Have the weathermen improved that much? Fuck no.
I was just talking about this with someone. Ever since Roger Bossard got that Doppler Radar at the stadium, he thinks he's a professional weather man. They delayed starts of games for no reason. They've postponed games for no reason.
I really think they were trying to avoid a game with a bunch of badly played pop ups. They didn't want to play a joke of a game.
Oh well. The positives are, they don't have that annoying off day after the first game. And Gene Honda should be able to make it from Detroit if he's doing the Final Four.
I'm selfishly annoyed they canceled because I'm leaving town for a couple weeks and now won't see a game until I'm back. But I didn't have tickets or anything so

What snowstorm?
We got a shitty mix of snow/rain for a couple of hours and nothing stuck here.
As some of you already know, I treat the weather like a person. I hold it personally responsible for its actions, I get mad at it when it's douchey, and I hold grudges.
If I were to not be able to go to the game tomorrow and looked at the weather today and saw that it was definitely baseballable, I don't think I'd ever be able to forgive the heavens.

INR promised it was going to be sunnier tomorrow
Lot A accepts cash, or at least it did the last time I paid to park down there. That was against a sellout Boston game in August, so I would think you could do it for an April game.
They need to take that thing away from Bossard, the rain delays when it doesn't rain for an extended period of time because he sees something moving closer on the radar are the worst. Fourth of July 2005 vs. Tampa was an example of this, it rained in the parking lot before the game, but by scheduled first pitch it had stopped, but they didn't start the game because it was supposed to start raining again. An hour later the rain started back up but it was nowhere near hard enough to warrant delaying the game had they started it on time but that didn't stop them from delaying the game for another hour. What should have taken three hours wound up taking five thanks to Roger and his magical radar, and I know it's happened a bunch of times since.
