The Sox Glendale complex looks to be about 99% complete. The layout is a bit goofy and seems intended to be traversed by golfcart rather than on foot. For example, there are a bunch of giant, ugly fences that serve no apparent purpose and only make you walk a longer distance. However, access to the practice fields otherwise is almost unrestricted. Fortunately, most of the fences are left over from the construction process and are scheduled to come down in the future.

The Sox train in a new facility in Glendale, AZ, which they share with the LA Dodgers. Glendale is a western suburb of Phoenix. The area immediately surrounding the Sox complex was not previously developed, so it initially was almost vacant and has remained fairly vacant due to the recession. The only things in the immediate area are a gas station, some shitty fast food places, a bunch of houses, and basic services for those houses (CVS, Home Depot, a bank, a school, etc.).
